Parent’s Right-to-Know

 In accordance with the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, this is to notify parents that you may at any time request to review the certification status of you child’s teacher(s) and/or paraprofessional(s). This includes: 

• The level of achievement of their child on each statewide academic assessment;
• Notification if your child has been taught four (4) or more consecutive weeks by a teacher who is not highly qualified;
• Whether your child’s teacher has met State qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction;
• Whether your child’s teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which State qualification or licensing criteria have been waived;
• The baccalaureate degree major of your child’s teacher and any other graduate certification or degree held by the teacher, and the field of discipline of the certification or degree; and
• Whether your child is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.
• Notifications  and information under the Parents Right-to-Know is in an understandable format, and to the extent practical, in a language the parent can understand.
